Canla is the anagram for "Cooperativa Agraria Naranjera de
los Alcores, SCA" meaning "The Agrarian Citrus
Cooperative of The Alcores". |
 |
The Alcores is a low range of
hills to the East of Seville in southern Spain with a
famous benign microclimate in which some of the earliest
field crops in Europe are grown.
The Cooperative was founded in
1966 by 20 orange growers. 36 years later its membership
has increased to 345 farmers and it occupies a 26 acre
site on which its factories and installations are located. |
